Well this morning I’ve done the straight 20 minute run! It’s still taken me since July to get there(no graduate yet though)
I went to the beach which was a little windy. But I started positive . Got to the half way buzzer and turned round ! Omg I was nearly blown over - I hadn’t realised how windy it was . So my last ten minutes were a slog through blowing winds (felt like I was on top of a Scarfell) and sand! But I did it - slow as a snail but I still ran and you lot say that’s ok! Red faced, covered in sand, wet feet and needing the loo - I still did it ! Very pleased with my self !

You smashed it, especially running the second half into the wind. Congrats on completing the mental challenge that is week 5 run 3, now you know you can run for longer solid blocks of running the rest of the program is more fun.
Be careful of week 6 run 1 & 2, after the 20 minutes of no stop running the interval that come in these runs are know to throw people, myself included.
I had the biggest smile on my face and tears in my eyes when I finished that first 20 minute run. You think you'll feel that way when you hit 30, but I actually think the 20 minute run is the biggest accomplishment and milestone of the whole program. Way to go!!
🎈🌷🏃♀️You Will now start to believe that you are a runner. That feeling is amazing!!!!! Enjoy enjoy!!! Slow running will get you through to graduation without injury plus you will enjoy the runs!! 👏👏🏃♀️Excellent! Well done
