Winter wear
Try just a long sleeved sports top first, then as it gets cooler still put the shirt on top (or a looser one), then as the temp decreases make the bottom layer thermal. Find a buff and thin gloves, maybe a hat if you need one (my head gets too hot but I like a buff over my ears)
It's all about layering and trapping a little bit of air in each layer. Everyone is different. Gilets are a popular choice, as are lightweight, breathable jackets but to be truly breathable the price increases. Far better another thin layer you can peel off and tie on or push into a pocket or waist belt.
I just wear a zip up hoodie and once nicely warmed up i tie it round my waist probably will keep it on for longer as it gets colder and i’ve managed to miss pouring rain so far
Thank you for your help, feel a shopping trip coming on
When it's really cold, I wear a long sleeve top, with a vest top underneath it.
I got 3 of these they are great and I'm just back from a -2, 0 degree run.

It's that Decathlon again. No sign of them coming to the south west. I can see I'm going to have to move east or north.
They do deliver
Yeah, I'm tempted but I think I'd like to try them out for size first. Luckily, my son lives in Stockport so I'm waiting for a trip to see him, he's into running and road cycling. Having three sons means bonding over a bit of retail will be a bit of a novelty, so it should be fun.
I’m in the Scottish highlands- 1st snow in garden this morning - thin layers you can zip off, thin wind proof running jacket keeps out worst of chills. Still in cropped leggings. Thin hats/gloves good. Anything you can easily add remove as your temperature changes.
This last week I’ve been wearing a long sleeve base layer, a short sleeved sports T-shirt on top, and a long sleeve lightweight sport hoody, which I can unzip if need be. With running trousers of course 😊
