Been listening to music but see some of you listen to podcasts such as ?? To aid running? Did the first 25mins yesterday and today my left shin is so painful yet was fine during. 🙆🏻♀️
What do you listen to?: Been listening to music... - Couch to 5K
What do you listen to?
I tried the C25K podcasts but the music is a bit dreary. Spotify drove me nuts with the ads. So I downloaded a podcast app and tried that today - Desert Island discs with Louis Theroux, which I found interesting and distracting 😁
I like my music so haven't listened to any podcasts. This is the YouTube video I used to help with shin pain. It really helped.
I go with spoken word. Sometimes I listen to a running podcast, sometimes I listen to something completely unrelated. I also use guided runs (on the Nike run club app) for in ear coaching, sometimes I add music to that too.
Still working out what's best, found music helped as I moved to longer runs ...
so my teenage son downloaded soundcloud and some tunes for me ... Stormzy, camilla Capello (quite nice) and some other stuff that made me feel like I was clubbing and run too far. Deleting that!
like the idea of podcasts though, sounds relaxing.
I’m another podcast fan. Just listened to Tunnel29, which is part of a BBC set called Intrigue. Have a rummage round - it’s amazing what’s out there. 😊 Hope the shin is better soon. Meanwhile you can search for podcasts! 🤣
I listen to the world around me - we call it running naked. For me it was the best thing about graduation. Freedom. Happy running
Mixture for me. Started with dance type pop songs because I like the beat. Tried a few podcasts from podbean, particularly like Ellen on the go and I have found a few where the chat was about running and park runs ( was like I was part of the conversation and found myself nodding in agreement at time’s 😂) one day the music stopped halfway so ran ‘naked’ and enjoyed that too.
Just this week I ran with a friend no music and we chatted. Next to try is the metronome.
I like mixing it up, that way even if I run the same route for a few runs the experience is different. Have fun experimenting xx
Hope the shin feels better.
