So apart from the C25K app what do you listen to to motivate/ get you pumped for running? 🏃‍♀️

Donna Summer ,' I Feel Love,' very loudly got me going on my run this morning :)

Fish Choir, Adaggio Carambola in F minor. I find it invigorating. Those whales know their chops.

Nothing has pumped me up more than Kanye West's Power so far. But I am partial to a bit of hip hop among other things. Realise it's not for all

Depends on my mood - i need fast paced music, bit of Kanye/Jay-Z is always a winner, but i have recently started on podcasts, due to the fact when i listen to music, i use each track length to try and judge how long i have left, and i do my own head in!

I'm the opposite at the moment. I've set up a playlist of very slow songs to try and stop myself from starting to quickly then struggling at the end.

The first song features a suitable chorus that goes "idiot, slow down!"

I'm currently listening to a book; American gods and it seems to help drown out that voice telling me to stop

I listen to podcasts while driving, aggressive metal or hiphop or epic soundtracks while weightlifting but generally run without headphones tbh, listen to sounds of nature hello sky hello trees say Fotherington Thomas ect ect and all that chiz. Unless it is winter and raining and pre dawn in which case I want to cocoon myself from the outside world.

I like books. Especially as the runs got longer and potentially a bit boring. I find a good book helps the miles tick by.

Sometimes on a long Sunday run part is done to the previous week's Archers omnibus but most of the time I take my iPod but don't even switch it on! Once I'm running, I'm running and retreat into my own world and look at my surroundings.

Me too. I love running to the peace and quiet and the thoughts mulling over in my head.
