Getting there

Well tonight I complete Week 5 Run 3 the dreaded 20 minute run. I have to say it was very tough but manageable.

I have had to do all my runs on a treadmill and I have done them all at 5mph pace. I was very tempted to drop the pace tonight but I just pushed on.

So a word to anyone like me 53 yrs old overweight and a complete exercise phobe is if I can do it anyone of you can!!!

Yes it’s tough, yes my legs hurt but it’s going to be worth it I am assured.

I am 57 yrs and overweight. I have just completed W7D2. Each run I dread and whilst running I don’t enjoy it - nothing to do with my legs it’s to do with my breathing. I push through listening to music. Afterwards I feel really good that I have completed yet another run. I find running on the treadmill very difficulty, outside running is easier.

There are lots of inspirational posts on this forum but maybe not many people my age.

I’m 65 and one run behind you! I have to say I enjoy my runs very much, perhaps because I’ve been a runner before

You are doing well Rich. I wouldn’t have any qualms about dropping the pace!
