Well that’s my first 25 min run for several years in the bag! The time went a lot quicker than I thought it would, and I still had enough in the tank for the usual push in the last minute.
While I appreciate Laura’s kind words I’m not so fond of her choice of music, especially with the same songs repeating. Since all my runs from now on are non-stop I’ve decided to use another timer app so I can listen to my own music or podcast or whatever. I’ll still follow the program, promise!

Congrats! I found that run a struggle but I just completed my third 25 minute run today and found it a lot easier.
I am not sure if I am doing something different but I am able to have the Couch to 5k app and my own music or podcasts playing at the same time. My music volume just automatically goes down a bit when the trainer wants to speak and he (I have Michael Johnson selected as my trainer) talks over it. I don’t think I’ve ever heard music on the Couch to 5k app itself so now I want to know what this repetitive music is... 😄
This is the podcast. I can’t use the app because of geoblocking (even though I’m in uk my credit card is Australian, hence I’m locked out of many free apps like eg bbc iPlayer).
As for what is on there... it includes a song that goes “so easy not so easy now” over and over, another one “I’ve got both feet on the ground / my head is spinning around” etc. I guess they are all pretty old since I hear the podcast was put together quite a long time ago
