this evening's practice run! W6R3

So we're not supposed to use the f--l word, so...

This evening, I practiced Week 6 Run 3, the app decided it was also going to practice about 5 minutes in, my attempt at shortening my "supportive undergarment" straps was a practice, my attempt at navigating a route where I could check my distance was a practice, and all in all, well, lovely practice run!

I knew it wasn't going to be great when I started - really feeling the lack of rest-day activity. I want to plan my days so I do some exercise each day, as I know it'll benefit me in many ways, but just haven't yet. Then out of curiosity I hoped I could work out how far I was running but I forgot, went through the park which I know doesn't really work with maps, and then drifted off down a hill which I then had to shuffle back up. Kept stopping, realised the app had stopped, and worked out roughly when I'd started so I could stop running somewhere between 20 and 25 minutes after the start (really didn't want to accidentally overdo it). Blech.

Still - music (funk and soul) was uplifting and the sunset was pretty! Onwards and, well, onwards...though I've gotta conquer some upward slopes really, otherwise options for routes are limited. It's not even *that* hilly round here but goodness do you notice when you're shuffling up them!

:D I'm happy to have the time and the kms, however few, under my belt! Better than not going out at all, by a very long way. Learnt a few things too!

Absolutely...you could be sat on the couch instead...like most of the population....but you were out there..collecting Kms...& stamina...that's what it's all about...helps with your next run whether it's a repeat practice, practice or completed....enjoy whatever run you're doing x

Me too...I love my 'running family's' posts x

Practice makes perfect, so from pesky underwear to hills, you will have them sorted next time out.

Two runs ago I had a great practice run. Gasped my way to 1.4 miles. Last run back to my 'usual' 3.1 :)

It's all cumulative miles - and I feel so glad I am, if not actually at least metaphorically and healthily, about ten thousand miles away from the Couch since I started this running lark :)

You're doing great! :)
