I find them easier because I just think about the running, not potential potholes, dropped kerbs, slipping in autumn leaves (I was on holiday recently and one of my routes suffered heavily with this. It scared me as it was also on an incline).
I guess it helps that the gym I use has telly’s in the running machines, so I’m not just looking at my distance, speed, etc.
Having said that, I am looking at increasing my outdoor running from twice a fortnight to 3x. Basically every other Wednesday. Hoping to EVENTUALLY get to running 30 minutes every day ( regardless of distance).
Doesn’t matter where. Mine was on a treadmill too. Tomorrow I start week 9, and I’m looking at then adding a fourth run to alternate weeks so that I do run every other day. Hoping to build slowly but successfully to running every day.
Well done you! I did my w5r3 run on Saturday morning after the rugby- it was blowing a gale around the racecourse but I did it! Still can’t quite believe it and SO chuffed. I have had some major health issues over the past 4 years and have had 3 surgeries in the past 15 months, so just to feel like I am in control of my body again is so incredible....
