Well I never! 20 minutes. Non stop. In the bag! I am more than a little chuffed. Today, as well as the lovely Jo Whiley pushing me along I had Kirsty Young and the great Tom Hanks with me, just chatting and spinning some tracks, keeping my mind off the clock. Desert Island discs podcasts people. It’s the future.
P.s - to all you brave folk just starting out on this amazing journey, you can do this! Good luck!

£20 well spent In my book. Belt and headphones fit snugly. Belt was £7 on Amazon. It’s Waterproof (allegedly) and expands to take a smartphone. I can give you the names of the ones I bought if you like but I haven’t had them long enough to tell you how long they will last.
Hi. I bought a cheap elasticated and waterproof running belt from amazon. Good size for a phone and car keys etc. I didn’t fancy the arm strap ones and this is really comfy to run in as it doesn’t move about. Also bought some cheap in ear Bluetooth headphones with little rubber supports that wrap over your ears and keep them in place. They don’t move when I’m running whereas my Apple ones kept falling out. Would recommend both. Personally I’m into podcasts rather than music when I run at the moment. The more distracting the better! The c25k app mutes them when the coach speaks so you can listen to what you want but not miss your ‘time to run/walk prompts. If you’re interested I’ll put the product details. Good luck with the plan! W5R2 is great. Just don’t rush it. Slow and steady!
Well done! I took the advice on here and just slowed down a bit. You do feel it’s a longer slog but you just keep going. Zone out and keep your legs moving. You’ll do it I’m sure!
I love the desert island discs ..its certainly my way to go , I listened to the one with Abi Morgan this morning ..keeps me distracted from thinking ..how many more minutes I've got to run lol
