Why don’t you do couch 2 5k If you want to get fit. That was 29th Dec. On 31st I put on some loose jeans , leisure trainers and a thin walking jumper downloaded Laura and set off to walk jog walk in the dark so as not to be seen. It now nearly November and have been running 3 times a week ever since apart from 1 week I only ran twice on Holiday early morning whilst the family slept. On graduation of C25k my first consolidation run I over did it but my knee was ok and I took is slow from then on. Build up slowly everyone says on here , you’re right. Ju jus magic took me to 10k on the last day of August and have run 8 10ks since. Now playing with intervals and thinking about 10miles. I sleep better, stress less about work and enjoy the mental workout of running for 30 mins in all weathers.

I love it. It still amazes me that I do. Running is not me and yet is so is.

That is a journey. We'll done. I hated running and now I get in bad form if I don't get my 3 runs a week.

Keep at it and good luck in your 10miles. Soon you will be running a marathon

What week did you find the hardest? I bet now you graduated, running must feel a bit different. Maybe easier?

That’s great DaneUser, it’s amazing what can be achieved within a year. I ran a 10 mile race this weekend, 18 months after c25k graduation and I still wonder how they transformed a 60 year old sedentary person into a person who loves running 3 times a week.

Fantastic DaneUser - that is a wonderful journey! 😄 - and there’s still lots more journey to enjoy!

“Running is not me, yet it so is” - I suspect you speak for thousands of us, you certainly speak for me. 😄

It's just brilliant isn't it DaneUser...I'm in a similar place to you but only done 3 10K's so far but also considering building up to 10 miles once my legs get used to the shock 😅

Have you got a foam roller yet...Lord knows what to do with it once it arrives but the longer runs have been taking their toll and I don't want any excuses so have ordered one! YouTube here I come.

Good luck with your further aspirations and enjoy 👍
