Disappointing run today, after completing the 20 mins on Saturday I thought yes I’ve achieved this and began to lose interest, after all that hard work.

Today I pulled myself into the gym although I didn’t want to and I started to get a stitch (which went half way through) and I pulled the top of my leg when I started to warm down, not a good day!

Although I can say I found the 5 mins and 8 mins easier to achieve, I was back to the podcast which didn’t help, return of the elevator music!

I am sorry that you had a disappointing run, I hope you didn't hurt yourself too much.

I hope you don't loose interest in c25k, but if you are then maybe find a goal for after c25k? Going to a park run or doing a 5k race for charity?

Or maybe skip a run and see if that peeks it again? I had to stop for a week and a bit because of a cold and by the end of it I was desperate to get back out there!

I hope your mojo comes back. Be nice to yourself! X x

Thank you 😁 all the pains seem to have disappeared, perhaps I will try going in the morning instead of after work! And stick to my music! I’m glad you are back and have gotten over your cold 👍

Don't compare your run to the last one, think back to 6 weeks ago!

I'm just at the start of the journey, so to me your 20 minute run is well impressive ... hope your leg recovers quickly!

I find running outdoors much less boring. Perhaps you could give it a try, you never know you might get your mojo back. Good luck.

I found week 6 tough too... keep going though you will get there!! And after this week you'll move onto all long runs (no intervals) which I always think feel slightly more satisfying :D

And yeah agree my own music helps, or even a podcast/audiobook sometimes

I think lots of us found W6R1 a bit of a surprise, as we expected it to be easier than W5R3. You may have gone a bit too fast, thinking the shorter time would be easier to complete, hence the stitch and muscle cramp. Keep at it, you’re doing great 👍

You could try downloading the app instead of the podcast, then you get all the instructions but it lets you choose your own music. Week 6 is tough though, I went way too fast on my first 5 mins after the high of running for 20 mins and barely got my breath back in time for the second run!

Thank you I will try that 😁
