Week 4.2 and learning restraint.

Was keen to go this morning even though the adaption requirements are being felt.

No I will take my minimum required repair day and see if I can have a quality 4.3 ✅

The earlier weeks of this programme I find tougher.I find from previous occasions I seem to handle the continuous runs after week 5&6 better.

I suppose it’s due to fitness gains.

What a gift and so worth it this running malarkey.

Keep on keeping

Hi Tbae, if you are finding the earlier runs on C25K more challenging because of the walking, why not just go and try run 3 of week 5, as you have already done C25K twice and for that matter a HM, I am sure a 20-minute run should be OK,

Yesterday I ran another 5K in around my average time of 32/33 minutes.

For you, see how it goes if you try that 20-minute non-stop run at a comfortable easy pace.

That’s good running Alan.💥

Finding Alan each time I repeat the rebuilding process after a long non running period off, I get more from it.

That’s why each time have chosen not to cut corners and also I am slipping in some short 200 m pace testers on Strava while avoiding injury.

Thanks Alan for your concern and suggestions. Was having a short chat with Flick on Strava about it and she finds the same re interrupted running.

Must be a 70’s thing.🙈🤔😂😂

Keep on keeping on Alan.

I think keeping to just one slow pace can be very tiring. Adding a 10 - 20 seconds burst of speed at the end of the final running interval helps increase the sense of achievement.

Strength and flexibility on non-running days.

I agree.👍

Part of my eventual weekly plan is to always do 12x 3o second bursts, so 3 occassions x4 x 30 sec flat out bursts with a small recovery in between bursts.

That on top of any other running programme.🤔
