W6R1 - found it hard

W6R1...Found it really hard! Thought it would be easy as I did the 20 min run at the end of week 5. I have never run for 20 mins in my life! (I'm 51) so was really proud of myself. I can feel it in my knees, they are getting better as time goes on. I'm assuming they are strengthening as I go through the plan?

Yes your legs and knees are getting stronger with every run. That w6r1 catches loads of people out it’s the going back to intervals and being the longest time out so far, it gets better from now on and soon to be just lovely longer runs with no walking in between good luck and well done for getting this far

Don't worry if you look through lots of posts you will see a lot of people talking about the beginning of wk6. It's part of the plan and it works. Well done you 😊

It’s a funny one, after the 20 minute high of week 5 it seems odd to struggle with the intervals. You’re not alone! All the runs are making you stronger and you’ve only a few more to go before it’s lovely non-stop running all the way. Enjoy and well done completing W6R1. 👍
