W8R3 - Running while drunk

Well that made for an interesting experience.

Despite being up all night working the nightshift, I still managed to get my sleepy self around the Plymvalley Parkrun for my third parkrun.

My head was definitely in bed asleep as I felt like a disoriented zombie. My feet plodding on, one foot infront of the other as my vision blurred. I didn't want to go fast, I just wanted a slow steady pace to get the blood pumping and wake me up enough to enjoy the rest of the morning with the family.

Well... I'm not sure I enjoyed the run, I can't really remember even doing it, but I was quite shocked to get my time through, a new PB by a whole 90seconds!😮 That's a sub 25minute 5k. Rediculous!

Pleased I did it, parkruns are awesome, and I'm determined to graduate next week, but I don't think I'll be running after a week of nights again in a hurry. The best way I can describe the experience is to imagine going for a run while very very drunk, and so it's not one I'd encourage!

Lesson learnt!

Anyway, here's to the final week!
