Wow-I’ve done it! I’ve really done it! I still can’t believe it. I started C25k late July. The day after run1/wk1 I could barely walk. Me feet were sore, knees and back in pain, but I found somewhere the drive to go out again for run 2 and did not look back again. I managed not to stop during holidays as well, running at seaside or around cities we were visiting. I loved it so much that i dragged half the family with me on occasions.
It feels so good. I started because of a minor health scare (nothing major) that just prompt me with the urge to take care of myself better. I’ve lost 18 lbs in the process and - hopefully - the health thing seems almost fixed for now.
I need to reduce weight more by another 12-14 lbs before i reach my healthy weight target and now I am confident that I will get there... after 30 years!!!
The question now is “what next?” I will continue with the 30m runs 3 times a week for now until I figure out what target to set next.
Any recommendations anyone?
For now it is celebration time for me!!!

Onwards and upwards to a few 30 minute consolidation runs, then if you wish the 3 C25K+ Stepping Stones podcasts with Laura and after that Ju Ju's Magic Bridge to 10K podcasts or training plan if you want to run a 10K. Now go and celebrate 🎉 🎓
Super well done 👍🥳🥳😀🙌🙌🙌 what a fantastic journey you’ve been on. Good luck for the future runs there certainly will be the spring of success in your step ❤️🏃🏽♀️❤️🏃🏽♀️❤️🏃🏽♀️
I have indeed. Saturday mornings are mostly dedicated to my son for now however. My plan is to use gap-Saturdays (1 in 4 more or less)... there are a couple of parkrun options nearby
Well done Moonlit it’s a fantastic feeling isn’t it. I did consolidation runs for a few weeks and then started increasing my time slightly mixing runs up with more hills to try and help with stamina and fitness. As long as your still out there running and trying to do 3 a week I think it’s whatever works for you. Congrats again and keep running 🏃♀️ 👏👏👍
Excellent! What an achievement! It’s great to share it on this forum too! You probably feel like telling everyone you’ve done it - but might get funny looks in the supermarket!
It depends what you fancy doing but I liked the challenge and a plan to work to so after about a month or so of consolidation I joined the Bridge to 10K forum on here and started on Juju's Magic 10K plan.
