Bad day - grumpy. Started run hungry within 1min, I dont have much reserves at the best of times. It was misty and damp - that was ok. All these students in my way, walking with heads down, 5 abreast, smoking - oh yeah, it is their campus I run round. All these cars blocking my route - oh yeah they are trying to get to the car parks ready for the start of work. Full of shivers - oh yeah should have taken sweatshirt to wear after run, shorts and tee asking for trouble this time of year. Hey ho, at least that's me one step closer to graduating. May try different route on friday and a banana before I run.

I’d been so eager to run as well. Lay awake for an hr waiting for hubby to wake so I didn’t disturb him. Order slowly being restored after porridge, fruit then had to also resort to copious amounts of tea and chocolate. Sometimes hunger takes priority over running.

Had such a great week 7/in Menorca but struggling this week. Think I’m not eating enough for the calories I’m burning. Was ok last week but then hotel buffet all week.

Hope you are having a good week

Yes the weather is a lot different to what you had last week and the food will be so make sure you try and stay refuelled.

My runs this week have been great although today was very, very wet! I now have a 2 day break (not had one in a few weeks) before I head out on Saturday to do my second parkrun and W8R2 which I am really looking forward to.

I am going to be a granny in November and very excited :) Losing weight, stopping smoking and starting running was inspired by my grandson as I want to be around to see him grow up :)

I’ll be granny in feb. Getting to go to 20week scan on tues - happy days. You and I will graduate around same time but I foolishly signed up for busy 5k race on 6th Oct and nowhere near running that distance on own let alone with 500 others. All experiences 😀

You will be surprised at yourself I am sure, the 'pack' mentality will kick in when you do the 5k and they will take you with them :) You are managing to run for 28 mins, I am sure you will do the 5k in 40 so just take it slow and if needs be walk a little :)

I can't believe graduation is in sight, I found the first run so difficult so the thought that I am going to be running for 30 mins instead of 60 seconds amazes me.

I hope you're over your grumps, Grannytobe, and that you're congratulating yourself for triumphing over adversity! Finish line is just over the horizon. Well done. :)

Getting there but I think real problem is I've been overdoing the exercise and not increasing food intake at the same time as trying to be ready for 5k race on 6th so decided couple days rest from running, increase food and relax and expect to walk part of 5k. Sorted
