5k week 4 completed. Im a Happy Bunny!

I’m a happy bunny. Bouncing into the weekend. Always unsure halfway into the first run of the day. Will i, or won’t I make it?. Always Insecure at halfway mark. How much further? Joyous surprise when I complete the final run of the week. Now comes Trepidation Friday. Will I be able to cope with next weeks run? Next week is week 5, the halfway mark if I make it. Fingers crossed. Have a lovely weekend all. Your encouraging words are priceless.

Well done.

Of course you will be able to make it.

All W5 workouts are overall shorter than W4. It is all explained in this breakdown of W5 healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Start out with positivity, relax and enjoy yourself.

You will do it... with all that bounce... you'll just hop up to the challenge:)WELL DONE!

You can and you will.

Well done, don’t doubt yourself you will do it.Go slow there’s no rush. If it helps dedicate your run to someone this keeps you motivated.

Remain positive, I found the last few weeks listening to my own music kept me going.

Good luck keep posting

I like the idea of dedicating the run to someone. Ill definitely be trying that idea on my next run.

Oh it’s hard to banish the running gremlins. The first 5 minutes for me are as long as an hour some runs but then before I know it I’ve done 40 minutes. You will make it your almost there

Thank you for your encouragement.

You will..trust the programme :) it prepares you for the next run even if you are not sure of it yourself. You will be surprised at the end of it. You got this 👍

Yes !!! Am “ running “ with a pal also just completed week 4!!! It’s a massive achievement. I put it in quotes as I really don’t feel like a proper runner yet but we can’t let Denise down!!! So well done … keep at it you have got this

in reply to Middleagedmum

Ok I see Denise is your coach. Mine is sarah Milligan. Much less intimidating. On my rest day today. I’m gardening.. enjoy your weekend too. Thanks for your encouragement.

You are doing so so well!! Just treat next week as you have the previous weeks with the same enthusiasm and determination. I started listening to music on the longer runs and would gauge how long I had been running by how many songs I had listened/sung/ half danced ran to! You will be distracted and then before you know it you’re finished. Others on this forum have suggested other approaches like describing everything you see as your run, or just enjoying the scenery as you run. You really have got this and you are also getting closer to achieving the main goal 5k in close to 30 mins! 👌🏻 Keep going and enjoy! 👍🏻

Thank you for your advice. a friend is going to join me. She was a runner and has stopped since lockdown so we’ll have company although I enjoy the time for reflection.
