Phew, I did it!! I restarted C25k back in June after having to take a break for surgery and struggling to get back into it. After a few false starts and setbacks I eventually decided to start at the beginning again and I definitely think this was the right decision. On reflection I hadn't only lost strength and fitness I'd also lost confidence and starting from scratch allowed me to build that back up again.
I had to repeat a couple of weeks due to illness (I have endometriosis so there are always periods of time throughout the month where I feel rubbish) and it's taken me 14 weeks to get to week 9 but I don't care - I'm here and I did my first 30 minute run this morning. My pace was a little slower than usual but I'm premenstrual and I always get a little slower and weaker at this time anyway. And I know that the focus isn't on pace at this stage. I'm just so proud that I managed to run for 30 minutes straight and I wasn't having to talk myself out of giving up like I've had to do for difficult runs before. Just two more to go before graduation!

Well done. Only two to go. Just take them slow and easy. Don't worry about how long it took; if it's any consolation at all, W2 ended up taking me over 8 months...
