Hi everyone!

Early this morning I ran the best run since I started, it was fabulous!

I completed W9 R1 and I couldn't believe it when Laura said 'You're half way now' I had run far further than I've ever run before. I made it through an entire golf course and ended up on a track road!! I haven't ever tried to run faster than comfortable talking pace but today my pace was automatically a bit faster without extra pushing or even noticing!!

A muntjac ran across in front of me and then stopped, turned around and watched me as I ran past! Never had that before!?!🦌

It felt great - I had to share!! Thanks for listening!! Bring on W9 R2! Whoop whoop!

Absolutely wonderful! What a glorious photograph and what a glorious run ! That pace you found, naturally evolves if it is right for you, as you found!

Head towards the podium now, slowly and steadily, where we will all be waiting to cheer you home ! x

Superb and that’s a seriously beautiful picture. Thanks for sharing!

Really good luck with your next run. Not long to go now until you get that badge. It’s not too early to celebrate what you’ve already achieved though!

Thanks and you're very welcome! I like to photo as I run, wander, walk etc!! Some turn out okay!!

I'm so excited about being on W9! 😁

I’m the same when I’m out walking. When I run, I like to use guided runs and music. My phone struggles to cope with photos as well. I’m envious of people who can manage both!

Going out for a walk with the SLR and hoping for interesting things to photograph is one of my favourite things to do. That definitely doesn’t work with running! I’ve got covid at the moment and feeling a bit miserable. I might take myself out later (I live rurally so you can walk for miles without seeing anyone) with the camera for a gentle amble. Thanks for the inspiration!

Sorry you've got covid. πŸ˜” Horrid for you. Get well soon!

Thanks! Hopefully it will make a move soon. It is a very unwelcome guest! ❀️

I hope you managed to find some interesting things today? Sorry you've got covid, it was really nasty when I had it.

Finding interesting things to snap is really good fun I think. I took a pic of wet leaves in the amber street light - not interesting to most (I get that!) but was quite a image of odd golden shapes in an alley in the dark evening. I've just been out for a walk and we have a full moon with some moody cloud cover! I'd love an SLR...someday maybe.

My phone stops playing the C25K podcast I have realised when I photograph when running.....but there's some moments I just have to try to click as I pass, in the hope it looks interesting! Mostly not! But one or two πŸ˜‚

Hope you're doing okay?

Thanks for a lovely reply. Really cheered me up. The walk didn’t happen. After lunch a wave of crushing tiredness hit and I ended up sleeping for three hours. I must have needed it because I feel a lot better now. Maybe tomorrow will be photo day. Feeling a bit stir crazy now!

My β€œposh” camera is just a ten year old entry level Nikon but I still love going out with it. It’s a hobby if really like to take more seriously but it gets so expensive very quickly! It’s amazing what you can do with a phone camera these days. My friend did her final photography degree show with an iPhone. The tech has come on so much…it just needs to not break my NRC app/bbc sounds combo next!

That's hard. The, "what can I do, what can I face, what do I want to do?", feeling and thought process, in the reality of being unwell is tough isn't it. The good thing is (I suppose) is that you actually felt stir crazy which means you weren't feeling utterly, bewilderingly, truly awful?! (hopefully)

I think manufacturers have to convince us that new tech is better. I have a Nikon 35mm from yonks ago and it takes the BEST photos of people and light/shade ever yet its worthless to anybody but me. My Pixel 6 does an amazing job of processing pics after a quick snap. Here's one of the dusky eve pics from my walk tonight in my Lincolnshire village. Beautiful sky I thought and really quite tranquil. I hope you feel better soon and get to go finding some interest to snap!

Dusky evening, light cloud, moonscape.

Look at that! Stunning. I bet there’s a lot of scenery up your way. I worked in Lincoln very briefly and loved the countryside around there.

You’re absolutely right about feeling hemmed in at home is a sign of progress. Usually the first one is wanting to tidy up the collection of junk you accumulate around yourself when you’re ill..,tissues, mugs, crisps packets etc!

Have a lovely weekend ❀️

Hahaha.... 'the collection of junk' - you made me laugh! You are so right it is, all of a sudden you become aware of all that is surrounding you!! It is so true.

There is a lot of scenery, well.....a lot of farms!! Plenty of open spaces which I particularly enjoy. I'm quite rural in a village about 40 mins from Lincoln. We are spoilt with the magnificent sky scapes, they are just stunning a lot of the time and change throughout the seasons.

I hope that you start to feel better this weekend ❀️
