Hey all. Today may be Friday 13th but itβs a good dayβοΈ. The sun is out, and after tearing my calf on the 25th of May I have today successfully graduated fro C25K -again!!!!!
Last year I completed c25k and b210k - but a series of illnesses took me out of winter training. I started c25k again as soon as I could in the spring but on week 8 I succumbed to - what turned out to be - a fairly serious calf tear. With strict instructions from the physio NOT to run for 8 weeks I sat on my hands and waited.....
Thankfully patience paid off - and tentatively I started again - from week 1 - complete with long support socks!! A few twinges here & there but all good. And today I completed c25k (again). Woo hoo!!!
Iβm sad to have missed out on so much summer running as dark mornings and nights limit my scope in autumn & winter. But Iβm right chuffed.
A few people said perhaps I should give it up if I was going to get injured- but no - Iβm hardier than that!
I still wonder how this program works -but it does!!!
