Double first!

So today I decided to join my local park run (Tonbridge) for first time AND I ran 5k for first time. I graduated 2 weeks ago with a 4k run. I was a bit nervous but had been using most of the course for my C25K training so that helped. I started out with intention of walk/run but as the whistle blew I thought oh why not give it a go. I’m pretty sure I was the last person back that actually ran the 5k - just some walk/run and walkers behind me but I don’t care my goal was to finish it and I did! So pleased with myself- can you tell?!! 🤣🤣😊🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️ September Quest completed.

Well Done Sloth. Doesn’t that feel good! You did it! That’s the important bit.

Time is irrelevant. If you did feel it was a slow time, then next time you can almost guarantee that you will improve on your Personal Best, PBTime.

Not important to go fast! Important just to go! Keep up the good work.

Fabulous, double congratulations! I keep wondering about doing the Tonbridge one as it's supposed to be much flatter than my local one at Bedgebury Pinetum. Is it a nice course?

Hi debston - yes it’s from swimming pool footbridge into park down through woods to barden lake , once round the lake and back again. Very flat apart from a couple of footbridges.

Ooh, might be worth getting up a bit earlier and giving it a go! Thanks for the info. ☺
