Wow! I have just finished the one we all think must be impossible! I have been dreading it all of week 5 and wondering how I would ever complete it. I was totally unfit when I started week one -hardly being able to run the sets of 60 seconds.
Today I changed my mindset and started to look forward to the big 20 minutes. I drank lots of water and felt prepared for whatever it was going to be like!
I am doing C25K with my 14 year old son- he’s been great and we’ve got better together. So we set of in good 5pm sunshine then 3 minutes in to the run it absolutely poured down! We ran in torrential (often horizontal) rain- not knowing if we should cry or laugh as we went.
Maybe getting soaked helped us focus on the task - we didn’t feel too tired and kept up a slow but steady pace.
We are now both so pleased that we have done this. If you’re approaching this run - look forward to it! Such an achievement for everyone on this great programme!

Well done Vicjo! I’m doing this run sometime Sunday or Monday and for the first time I am looking forward to it - even more so after reading your post.
Amazing achievement and so glad you enjoyed it... I am doing my W5R1 tomorrow and plan on doing R3 on Wednesday, this has given me new hope of achieving it
Congratulations to you and your son on completing run 3 of week 5, pity about the rain ☔.
Week 5, run 3 of C25K is a milestone run. Onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you and your son have just ran, just hope the weather will be better.
