Hi

I am on week5, run3 due tomorrow. Where did that come from ? 20 minutes running I managed week5 run 1 and 2 ok running for 8 minutes but 20 minutes omg ! I am not looking forward to that. I'm sure there must be a mistake. Not sure I am ready for that. Any tips ?

Don’t worry... relax. You did 8 minute intervals... that’s 16 minutes will have set you up for the 20... just take it nice and slowly and surprise yourself.

No mistake, that's C25K creeping up on you with a sneaky longer run. But don’t worry! You are completely prepared for this, the programme has given you everything you need to complete it. Just don’t try to break any speed records and you’ll be fine. Good luck!

You are ready for it. Honestly it was my favourite run of the whole programme. Nice and steady, enjoy everything around you. You will surprise yourself. Have a great run. Xx

W5R3 is the shortest overall workout since W3.

In your previous two workouts you were on the move for 21 minutes between warm up and cool down........so it is a reduction in duration.

You may say," but that was not all running.". However, if you are running at an easy conversational pace, as described in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... then the difference in energy expenditure between the run and brisk walk intervals is minimal.

This is where you have to start believing in yourself and trusting the plan............,..how does anyone start a one hundred miles running race, unless they believe in themselves.

You can do this. You will do this.

Same I’m not sure I will do it? 8 to 20 seems like a big leap - 15 would be better lol!

I've got wk5 run2 tomorrow and the 20minute one Friday, it's a big jump, but I'm going to trust the plan as it hasn't let me down yet, age 55 and never run in my life b4 .. good luck, and hey hi, if it's too much so be it 😁
