Well, I’d built it up a bit in my head but was determined to run this morning, with my daughter again, as she is down early for her birthday this weekend. Instead of taking yesterday to rest up and just walk a bit I made the mistake of going to Combe Martin Wildlife Park, with my friend ( her birthday present from me) and her two year old. Anyone who has ever been there will know the paths are 45 degree hills and couple this with a pushchair we did quite a workout. And it was really windy too

So this morning.....

A) I slept in till gone 9

B) when i DID wake up my back kept stabbing when I moved and my right hip hurt, my neck and shoulders ached too so I reluctantly decided to postpone until tomorrow morning.

Anyway I did some of the exercises from Your Dream Body to loosen my pelvis and back and then we went for a good walk. After lunch I got fidgety and we went for another walk, tried to settle down to watch tv and I suddenly said to my daughter “ come on, let’s go run now!!”. So we did!

We kept at my pace ( she is only 31, less than half my age ) so it wasn’t the fastest run and we ran a new route for us.... along the Tarka Trail by the river.... drove down, parked the car, walked for 5, ran for 10 and turned and then ran back for 10, then walked the last 5 and then back to the car. It was really peaceful, no cars in the way or pedestrians, saw 2 bunnies hopping about in the way down and one on the way back. AND IM SO GLAD IVE DONE IT!!!😁😁😁🎉

Week 6 here I come!!

Yeah she lives about 50 miles away but we run together when I visit or she does. We started c25k at the same time. Well, she started a week earlier then repeated it so she could stay same time as me.

She’s hoping to go into the army next year so it helps her and me to have a running partner, although she’s at least 1 mph quicker than me when she runs on her own.

I like running at hers more though as it’s all flat in Bridgwater, not so where I am.
