Well, not the run itself... which was a lovely 8k along a new route that turned out to be lovely.
So lovely, in fact, that I decided to make the rare move of stopping to take a photograph on a bridge over the Goyt..
And I only managed to drop my phone into the middle of the river. £900 of nearly new Samsung! No way I could get that back without risking life and limb.
Hope it's covered on the household insurance!

O that is awful Pianism, did you ensure your phone when you bought it?, I am not sure if a Mobile phone is covered by household insurance, even it was,
as it wasn't stolen as a household item it makes that look doubtful, go to the shop that you bought it, they maybe able to help you.
PS, just looked up insurance cover regarding mobile phones, mobile phones are covered as any other house hold item BUT only if it has been stolen FROM the home, so it's back to "if you insured the phone for any sort of loss" or if it was stolen outside the house.
It depends on the level of cover. As it happens we received an update about our cover today and it would be covered unless the phone was "deliberately put at risk", which could be open to debate I suppose.
Oh no not good just an idea can’t you say you left it in your car and claim on your car insurance as I’m sure some pay out 😉👍 hope you get sorted pal 😉👍
AAHHHH one of my worst fears ... be it glasses, camera, phone - even earings I'm convinced will fall off if I'm on an 'edge' or a bridge or a high up anywhere! Poor you.
(Makes me feel a little less upset about my dog eating half a 20 euro note yesterday)... and no, we haven't found the 'used' part!
