I spent nearly all day sitting about in running gear thinking about going for a run. I missed the pre lunch window so thought I’d better eat first. Then I had to let lunch settle …. Next thing there was a knock on the door and a lovely orchid, chocs and a candle were delivered from my nephew and his partner for my birthday! (It was on Tuesday)
So then it was an exchange of messages thanking them for the present, settling in the new plant, sampling the chocs …. About to head out the door and there is a delivery on the doorstep. It was a lovely bunch of flowers from my niece and her kids!!!!
Next I faffed about sorting out the flowers, finding them a vase etc. More thank you messages…..
I finally got out of the door at 4.00 pm. This has got to be my all time record on the procrastination stakes!!!
In the end it was a lovely, gentle run. I’m glad I went. Must aim to get out earlier on Saturday….

This running thing can take up most the day can't it? I can usually get out by noon, but some days it's touch and go. Well done getting out there and enjoying it.
Happy belated birthday 🎂 for Tuesday and well done on eventually getting out for your run. I don’t think I’ve ever ran in the afternoon. I have to run in the morning for me because as the day gets on housework that needs doing …done other faffage completed …..then my run in the morning …I’m afraid I can’t be bothered in the afternoon so good for you for getting out! I’m retired too and having that choice of either morning or afternoon is great isn’t it?🤣🤣🤣x
At least you got out in the end! I usually try to get straight out in the mornings before I've really had time to think about it, but then I'm a smug retiree 😄. Happy belated birthday 🍾🎂.
