well my Monday and Weds runs went well, but plans for Parkrun yesterday died as i woke up late and tired/unenthusiastic(ie needed an easy morning!)
-Oh well, might go Sat eve instead, but no, a battle with constructing a large push together greenhouse put paid to that, tired and grumpy/achy and not up to a run- not in the mood
- never mind will set early alarm, and go early in the sunshine - NO, slept through alarm then no time as dog walking and off to work for 9.30am
- right, definitely going tonight, just watched London Marathon highlights and feeling up for it! Yay, some positivity at last!!
Got out the door after doing stretches and being accosted by George the jack russell who thinks laying on the floor with your leg in the air is for his benefit! NOT playtime!!!....... But where to go? had originally decided on going back to my Weds route but got to the junction, realised no headphones or MP3 so why not try that lovely off road dog walking route i did with my neighbour, sure i can remember the way.........!? the peace and tranquility on a sunny evening will be lovely!
To summarize a LONG story i got a bit lost finding my way to the big field, took several wrong turnings, not much running was done more squelching in soggy trainers (forgot i had my wellies on the other day so didn't notice the wet!) as i went round and round looking for the right way which seemed so simple the other day!! Maybe i was distracted by my neighbour and his 3 labradors and george racing around on Friday! oh well got it right eventually and a bit of running was done alongside the airport on the way back(found a picture online , i was near the top of picture somewhere!) was determined that at least one k would be just running and achieved that just about at a good(for me) time of 6.06 mins 4.6km covered in total!
So now know that cross country running is not for me! The map on the Gramin made me laugh as it shows me going round in circles searching the hedges for the B****Y entrance to the field! oh well, a run to be remembered i guess!!!
Happy running everyone!
