Week 5 Run 1 - an otter’s pocket

I should have run this morning when the weather was fine but life gets in the way - and I’m not a morning runner anyway. I’d talked myself in to putting it off and running tomorrow instead when the weathers finer, but in a moment of clarity and motivation (and the cricket getting turned off the TV in favour of the tennis), I decided to get up and get out in to the wind and the rain.

I’m so glad I did. That run felt great and I really got in to it the longer it went on, I felt like I could have carried on, but stick to the plan.

Looking forward to Fridays run (another motivation, running today meant I could squeeze another run in before the weekend).

I like to finish my runs with a bit of a celebration, just a quiet fist pump or a bit of a punch of the air, here’s a picture of today’s:
