Well that was rubbish!! So annoyed with myself! W3r2 and I ran 2 mins, 1 min,30 seconds and 50 seconds 🤬 utter waste of time loads of calf pain and head in wrong place completely. Bad anxiety this morning but no excuses I just didn’t make the grade! Back at it Friday but my confidence that I can actually do this has totally plummeted 😥

Don’t be downhearted! Everyone has hard runs sometimes. Everyone. Have faith, the plan is excellent: breathe, rest, maybe do some flexibility stuff, return to it on Friday. You’ve got this! We’re all behind you 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Oyyyyyyy you! Don’t be so hard on yourself!!! You flippin can do this. You went out there even though your head was a bit off, that’s MASSIVE!!! That was just a little training run and the next one will be better. You so have got this my lovely 😊

A big hug for a brave person who went out and gave it a shot. That’s all you are asked to do. If you can’t do it all, you repeat it after a rest day. No such thing as a blow out on C to 25 If you having calf pain maybe have 2 rest days. Use them to walk & relax. Have a relaxing soak with Epsom salts and then gently massage an anti-inflammatory cream into your warm calf muscle. Drink lots of water and if you have a roller use it on those calf muscles. Helped me. Choose music that helps with your anxiety and run slowly, slowly knowing it’s ok. Keep posting. 🌺🌼🌸

You went out and practiced the run, nothing more, nothing less, you are not the first and you won't be the last to have a bad run, even the most experienced runners have them too.

Chalk it up to experience and give it another shot, there is only one person who can beat you and that's you.

You can do this, put it right out of your mind and just go for it again, slow and steady, control your breathing and you will do fine.

Google the Japanese Slow Running technique. Someone here must know the link??? But it’s findable by googling that phrase. And relax. And don’t be disheartened. You did it in your W3R1 outing. You’ll manage it again.

Not all runs go to plan , some are tougher than others it just happens. Make sure you are drinking between 2-3 litres of water per day, that should help with your legs as well as stretching after each run. You still got out and ran and that's definitely not rubbish. You can do this 😊😊

Treat it as a practice run go out there next time and go slow and you will run better

Take care of yourself and keep up drinking water loads every day

Don’t be cross with yourself Vl, things happen! It was a practice run that’s all. And you weren’t still on that couch - you were at out there running! So well done you, happy running!

No, no it wasn’t a waste of time, some days it just happens like that. You were out there and did some of it, that in itself is positive and you have said you are going back out Friday, just file it away and on Friday morning pop a grin on your face tell yourself you can do it and off you go slow and steady. Rooting for you 😁

No two runs are ever the same so don’t be down beat - the plus side is that you went out there and tried, so do it again and again and it will happen ! Keep the faith. You can do this ! 👍

You can do it!! I faulted on W3R3, found it a huge struggle and so did that run again. Today I just ran 20 minutes straight only 2 weeks later, I still can’t believe the progress I’ve made! It really does get easier, you get stronger, have more stamina... More confidence too! And the advice on here is so good, really helpful.

But you still ran!!! Keep at it if it was too easy everyone would be doing it, you can definitely do it, take the advice given and rest up for a couple of days. I’m an anxiety sufferer and find the running really helpful. Try some yoga on your rest days it’s so calming xxx

Don’t give up! ... I started the plan on the 14/05/19 yes 14/05/19 and I’m still running W6 (only God knows how many times I’ve been repeating these weeks! ) funny thing is I always talk about my running not about the repeating ... just enjoy the running

Aww don't feel bad! Like everyone has said - some runs are harder than others. No matter where you are in the programme or if you've graduated, there's still times it's hard. The important thing is you got out there, it was definitely NOT a waste of time.

Sorry if this has been suggested before, but are you trying to go too fast? It doesn't matter if your running speed is the same - or even slower - than your walking speed. It honestly changes everything when you slow it down.

So, this was your trial run. In 2 days time, you'll smash the socks off this run!

Nothing to feel bad about. What an triumph you got your trainers on and had a go, sooooo much better than not, imo. Recover on your rest day and then give it another crack. Have faith, believe as we all do, you absolutely can and will do this 🏃‍♀️

Be easier on yourself. Its just a run and the next one will be waiting for you tomorrow. 🙂 Calf extensions (standing with just your toes on a stair edge) could help with the calf pain, especially if done right after your run. There will be hard runs and bad runs to come still. It’s what we do with them that matters. No worries, you can do this. It is a solid plan. And obviously you have tons of support here!
