My wonderful slimming world consultant asked whether a group of us would like to get together and give C25K a go and we did our first run in the dark after our group last night. I have lost 3 stone in the last 12 months and would like to lose another stone and the only other exercise I do is an occasional dog walk & line dancing once a week so this was quite daunting for me! Anyway, I survived, just! Couldn't manage to complete all the running, but mustered all my determination and effort and ran for the whole of the last minute which I am immensely proud of. Hoping to improve in tomorrow's run. Been picking up some great tips from here, so thank you to all the posters.

Welcome to the forum week 1 is the hardest week of them all.
There are a few things for you to read, I'm sure one of the admins will be along shortly with that link but on the whole you've chosen a great plan, just take everything slow and steady, don't worry about distance it's all about completing the runs.
Aim for a light jog, seriously, slow and steady will get you to the end of the run and get you running for longer than you ever thought possible.
Great for getting started. Have a rest day and try wk1r1 again and don't move on to the next run until you've fully completed the previous one . C25k is an amazing plan and really does work you'll get lots of encouragement and support on here good luck 😊
Welcome! You and your group have made an excellent choice! 👏👍🏃♀️
Well done 👍 and your sw rep is fab. Just don’t feel pressure to steam ahead if it looks like everyone else wants to. Have a chat and it may be that a few of them want/need to repeat days. That’s fine and the group may naturally divide into sub groups. Congrats on the weight loss and the healthier you 💪🏃♀️
Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Repeat any workout that you did not fully complete. There is no point doing the next one until you have it under your belt.
Enjoy your journey.
Thank you to everyone for all the advice. Took it slower tonight and managed all the “runs” so feeling quite positive for Friday’s outing!
That’s brilliant well done. The first run is definitely the hardest!
