Yesterday I experienced my first unsuccessful run of the program. I went out for W7R2 but after five minutes was telling myself that I couldn’t go any further! It seemed hard to believe as I had already completed the same 25 minute run two days earlier. I turned round and went home feeling somewhat downhearted. This morning, I went out again and, this time, with a lot of stern talking to myself, I managed to complete the run! Reflecting on the experience and thinking about how I have felt during previous runs, I can see a pattern ... it takes me a good ten minutes or so to settle my breathing and get into a steady, slow pace - and then it all becomes a bit easier. So, wobble over, W7R3 here I come ... 🏃♀️💪😀

Well done.

Look at your preparation for the run. We're you well rested, hydrated and sufficiently fuelled up?

I always find the first five minutes really hard going, but knowing that helps me power on through it and to keep going. An experienced runner told me that some days you have runs and you never think you'll run again and then the next run you can feel like an Olympian! So don't be disheartened and well done for trying again and not giving up - that's the most important thing 😊

Love you determination! I always find run 2 of each week the hardest!
