So, went away a fortnight ago and been back a week and not run yet. Felt good before went and had a fab time but suffer from low iron on and off due to being a coeliac and a 50 something menopausal female 😩. Not taken iron for a bit as can sort itself out and side effects grim 😳. Need to start clearly! Anyway brisk walk with dog uphill gave me the tell tale signs of chest tightness ( been all checked out at hospital so I’m not about to have a heart attack folks). Anyway, double whammy is when I stop running my ankles just get sooooo stiff. I do stretch but I suppose not enough. Also getting a throb in left side ankle ( the dodgy one) which I think may be as a result of walking dog in wellies. Anyway, need to sort myself out I reckon - back to school tomorrow and new routine so hopefully can start back slowly in a week or so. Worried I’ll lose the will but you guys won’t let me I’m sure! 😉

Pick 2-3 days a week and stick to them if possible. Just start slow and see what you are able to mange after your break and take it from there. Good luck 😊
And therein lies the problem. My routine pre puppy was mornings - I’m very strict with myself so that’s never an issue but now mornings are a no no as can’t walk him and go for a run before work. Life in the evening very busy for one reason or another next 2 months so might have to settle for a weekend jog until end of Oct when my evenings become more freed up and I’ve then got my eye on a local running club. Daresay all will be well in the end! Thanks for checking in 😄
