I have actually completed week 9 of couch to 5k. It has taken me approximately 12/13 weeks not 9 - one weeks rest for injured foot. Then a couple/3 of weeks of only two runs instead of three. But this week I have done three runs - the last one being a park run today. I am actually thinking of joining a running club! So I think I have graduated! Hooray
I have actually done 3 park runs over this time - and today was the fastest!
I actually don't think it matters how many weeks it takes to feel that you have completed the programme. As it all seems to build up the stamina.

You are correct, it does not matter if you take longer than 9 weeks to complete the course, you can repeat any runs or week's if any runner wants to.
