Parkrun 1

Well I flumped my way around Cannon Hill Parkrun today. I ran/ walked it because about 3.3km is still my max running but I feel quite chuffed. My time didn't seem to me to be too outrageous and I might try it again in a couple of weeks....

I noticed that running in a crowd made me run faster...but I missed the headspace I get on a solitary run.

I bet you didn’t flump, I bet you strode out like a magnificent marshmallow x

I like the ParkRun experience but also really love my early morning meanders. Well done on popping your ParkRun cherry 🍒

I think so, it felt really different, it's a huge park run 700+ runners

Well done getting out there, and also being sensible and not overrunning. We can’t see your time, but I can tell you it was great, and you’ll have fun bringing it down as your runs get a little bit longer.

If you’re looking at running it every couple of weeks or so, you’ll still have lots of runs with that headspace too. Happy running.

Congratulations and very well done to you for your first parkrun. You have a PB time now to chase after again.

Indeed, and good to set a low base for next time😉

Just beat it every week by a second or two and get a really good PB streak.😀

😁 Enjoy the rest of the program. Let me know when you decide to go for it, maybe we can meet up

Don't wait to graduate before you try parkrun. I started parkrun a few weeks ago as a walker and was inspired by the other walkers and walker/runners to start C25K.

Wow, too scared to try Parkrun yet- but that’s a good thought! I’ll work up to it- thanks!!

Congratulations on your first park run. They soon become a regular thing and are great for mixing it up and giving you a bit of a push.

Indeed there were a number of walkers at my Parkrun... Some were faster than my running speed! 🐢🐢🐢

But I think only juniors get 10 run shirts.. We have to do 50!
