Week 2 completed .. early morning and in the shade

Hi everyone. I completed week 2 today. I had a gap of a few days as I have been on a coastal break which necessitated eating lots of ice cream and drinking quite a bit of lager. It is a dirty job, but someone's got to do it :-) So having had a couple of sensible eating days and taking in water rather than Fosters, I did my final run of week 2 this morning and really enjoyed it. I was a bit anxious about whether I would still be able to do it, after a break, but it was fine as I took it slowly and ran in shady area. I can't wait to start week 3.

I have noticed a few people posting about feeling self-conscious running outside and people noticing them. I was stopped by three neighbours as I was just about to start my 5 minute warm up, asking if I was going for a run. I said yes and all of them said "good for you". I am overweight but just wear a large baggy t-shirt to cover the lumps and bumps. I have not heard any derogatory comments as, like others have said, most people are concentrating on themselves rather than looking at me so I'd encourage anyone not to feel embarrassed and just get out in the fresh air.

Onward and upward.. 3 minutes running here I come. Of course, if it all goes t..ts up, this will be my last post lol
