Week 8 Run 2 - crazy early

Running at 5:30 would not be my first choice and I did feel a bit yuck to start with - think my body was in shock. Couldn't face food beforehand but if I run again at this time will try a banana and see if this takes away the initial queasiness. It's definitely getting later in the year when the sun still hasn't risen by 6am but the beginnings of a sunrise we're starting as my run ended - see photo. So that's just one more left of week 8 to go and I'll be running a few hours later in the day!

Well done making that extra effort to get up and out at silly oclock, you deserve a medal just for that

😆 thank you.

I love early mornings but they are a bit of a shock to the system. Running before breakfast I have a couple of plain biscuits. Can't leave the house without anything.

Well done on getting out there and seeing the sun rise as your reward.

Thanks 😀. I loved the fact no one was about and the peace and quiet.

That view is gorgeous and makes up for silly o'clock I think! Well done you getting out there

Living by the sea is a real bonus for inspirational running routes. My town is the end point of the Great North Run and this morning I saw they have started setting up for it. More inspiration!

Oh that is inspiring.. you will do that run maybe next year?

Maybe... I've run it once before but didn't have a good experience as I had knee pain early on and had to walk for most of it 😢 it's a half marathon, there was a long way to go. I'd love to do it properly in the future.

Beautiful pic! I am rubbish at getting up early but your post has made me think I should give crack-of-dawn running a go!
