So you are 6 minutes away from home. Does anyone else want to poo almost as soon as the jogging starts?

I go out to run just after my morning "evacuation", TMI but I tend to poop just after I get up or at least just after walking the dogs, so I am free and clear for my run

Due to suffering from IBS, I totally relate to this. So annoying and never know whether to try stick it out and hold it til I get home, or run back home to go 🙄

It's a dilemma.

Hugely common problem with thousands of runners...

active.com/nutrition/articl...

Routine and the correct pre run food ( if you do eat before runs) is the answer... that and always carry wet wipes etc..and hope for a nearby field with a large hedge!

Seriously it can be a real issue, but there is a lot of advice about this.

You just have to find what is right for you.:)

I live in hope but running around the streets large hedges are generally for people's gardens. Oops

I’ve had to poo in a field before 🙈. Was triumphant to find a tissue in my pocket!!! I was out running with a new buddy (who is now a close friend) at the time!!!! Lol

Oh yes, I had that "problem" until last year. I needn´t worry anymore, thanks to my pouch (Colostomie). I carry a spare one with me, so nothing can pull me down nowadays.

Guys, hope you´re all aware of rectal cancer and speak to your GP if ever anything starts worrying you!

Good point.

It happens sometimes. Always a dilemma as to whether to turn back or see it through. At worst, can’t run back but totter back like an anguished chimpanzee praying for continence.

So pleased you brought up this tricky topic. On the plus side it makes me feel like I’m on a par with Paula Radcliffe 😂

But minus the bobbing head?

Oh yes, totally relate. Luckily so far I've been running in the gym, so facilities are on hand. Still, doesn't help when you're part way into a session - wrecks the timings. I'm cheered by memories of Paula R though.
