On this day in 1981, I started my nurse training, 38 years later I'm still working for the NHS.
I had an 1981 play list this morning and lots of memories. I wondered where all my class was, how had their lives turned out?
I also wondered if 1981 was a memorable year for anyone here ( I expect a lot weren't even born😬)
Anyway it was a special, if not scary day for me, I just felt like sharing it 🤩

I was still at school I the 80s. I started high school in 81 - I remember feeling so grown up going to school on my own and spending my Saturday’s in the local town buying records or cheap jewellery or make up. I generally run to 80s music. I love it.
1981 wasn’t particularly significant for me, I think I was just going into 3rd year junior school so what they call year 5 now. Generally the 80s was a great time though, and such a good time for music. We all love 80s pop, even those who weren’t born!!!

I was not doing anything significant then.... I was a young adult having great fun... Dressing like Adam, which was fun as I was a punk previously!... Music jogs ( no pun intended!) our memories to a good or bad time in our lives... Almost a diary!

Discos Drink and Debauchery is mostly what I was doing in 1981.
Youth (and brains) sure as heck can be wasted on the young :/
But - I am a reformed character now. No smoking or Discos 😁

'81? Music and fun, lots of fun. Lots of it. And l could make a decent go at running 1500m and 3000m. Lean, slim, long legs. Of course, l was having lots of fun so that was put on the back burner for a while.
It was a fun time, I wish I had had lean, slim, long legs!! Sighs!
