First Day

👋 everyone.... I did my first one today after buying running trainers

I’m so pleased I’ve started doing this... saw son off at 9am at the airport he’s off to America for 4 months and I’ve promised him I’ll stick at it so he sees a difference when he returns at Christmas 😊

Felt silly running in the street but I focused on the bright pink laces - ha ha 😂

Brilliant, well done you! No need to feel silly, but I can understand feeling a bit self-conscious to start with. That will disappear soon. And if anyone is looking at you I bet they are dazzled by those amazing pink laces 😉😊

Better than I thought - my ankles seem slightly sore but otherwise ok.... how about you?

Well done for starting and thank you for the support

Take care - funny enough my other very fit son said warm your arms up too and I forgot. I tried doing that thing you see people do where they grab their foot but I got cramp in my side 😬

I love the shoes! He"ll be so impressed when he gets back - stick with it. Well done for making the right decision to get off the couch (and buy shoes with Pink laces😉)

Thank you they’re comfy - I’m lucky to live near an outlet place 👍

Congratulations on starting C25K, you can run in the nearest park if possible, you can use the walk to the park as a warmup before you run.

Thank you that’s a great idea 👍

We love a picture of new shoes here Pontejogger! Well done on starting C25K- don’t feel silly about running in the street - most people won’t even notice you! Take it slow slow slow, stay well hydrated and read Iannoda Truffe’s pinned post for newbies - it’s essential reading. Enjoy!

Brilliant! Well done for getting started! Thats definitely the hardest bit done!

Love the shoes!

Ponte as in Pontefract? You don't have to answer that 😂.. But I know it well, in fact I was born there. Good luck! Wherever you come from! 😁

Yes it is - I don’t mind answering that! 👍

It’s not a bad place - beautiful race course park and this has inspired me to do the park run they do on Saturdays.... loads turn up. Before my dog got too poorly to walk there I’d see them and think well done all of you - there’s all shapes sizes ages etc it’s a right party

And now there’s a new swimming pool being built in the park too.

Oops I’m waffling on!!!
