Toxic 10 - can it be reduced?

Morning all - a quick question for you. I understand why there is the toxic ten (or in my case more like 12) but is there anything I can do to reduce this time or make it a little less uncomfortable?

Do a warm up jog of a couple of minutes. Then wait for a few minutes before starting your run.

I have a toxic 20 🤣

Stick with it Sloth, I’ve just done my first Thirsty Thirty! Seriously follow the programme and accept its quirks, you’ll soon be firing through it 👍🏃‍♂️

I have toxic 10 after 5 minutes, but it does get less noticeable, I take deep breaths on the warm up walk, and try to take the first 10 minutes as slow as I can.

Make sure you drink well the day before. 😊

Some people do a longer brisk warm up walk at the beginning so instead of 5 minutes do 10 or 15 . See if it helps 😊

Thanks Buddy- the longer warm up walks definitely help I’ve been doing them for a while. I decided to go to gym for the first time in a while instead today and despite not feeling 100% - the toxic ten was pretty much non existent 🤷🏼‍♀️. Thinking about recent outdoor runs I’m now wondering if the heat (19-21c) was a big factor?? I overheat very easily.
