I managed to cover 5k! I listened to your wise words (as always) and decided not to worry about speed or pace and just run. It took me 42 mins to cover the 5k and it did include the 5 minute warm up, but I'm taking it for now! πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

Congratulations on that first 5k and that’s a fine time to run it in too. Happy running.

Brilliant welll done. Have you got a parkrun near you? Give it a try, everybody's welcome, run at your own pace, don't worry about that the 17 minute racers. You'll find you nowhere near the slowest and it wouldn't matter if you were!!

Thank you. Yes, I am planning to give a Park Run a go in a couple of weeks, once I return from holiday . (It's my first ever all inclusive holiday so I probably will be the slowest πŸ˜€)

Brilliant, well done you! Wish I was as quick as you, though I believe it will come in time

This made me chuckle. I feel sooo slow when I run and generally get overtaken by other runners. As long as I'm overtaking walkers I'm happy (ish). So thank you for making me feel better about my speed. However I'm sure you are doing pretty well yourself and as you said, it's something to work towards. It would not be fun if we had no goals.

Happy running 😊
