I did it! I ran the length of the Southsea seafront plus a little bit. Over the moon happy ๐

Great job... I really miss that place, and am trying to schedule the parkrun there in. Happy running.

Thank you, was tougher than anticipated, windy and a lot of people. But I proved to myself I can do it x

I used to live behind the RM barracks at the quieter end... maybe run that way next time?

Yes, certainly got quieter after the south parade pier x

Congratulations Sp81. Thatโs my running patch too. Itโs been a bit busy with school holidays but it looked a bit quieter today. Very humid though.
Do you do Southsea parkrun?

I didnโt know that Southsea had a Parkrun until it showed up on Strava.
I have been doing hogmoor inclosure in Bordon. I am in Petersfield so itโs my closest.

Yes the parkrun starts near the Briny restaurant/ life guards and runs east past the Royal Marines barracks turning round at 2.5k.
Closer to you is Queen Elizabeth Country Park but itโs a steep trail run so not for me.

Hogmoor inclosure has sand, hills and feels quite tough. q e park looks crazy. 1 day maybe Iโll be brave enough.
Like the thought of Southsea as a Parkrun also friends and I are going to try lakeside in September xx

I like lakeside too. JonathanP runs there. If you want to try Southsea on 31 August, Iโm doing my 50th parkrun with some friends and VRBs from here. The theme is pirates ๐ดโโ ๏ธ. You are welcome to join us.

Bravo! I hope the weather wasn't too hot for you. I should imagine not being beside the seaside, beside the sea!
