About to do week 4 run 1 tomorrow, very nervous as it’s a big step for me, I’m overweight and have got a problem with my knee, my physio suggested this as a way to get more exercise and to build my fitness back, last nights run was a real struggle for me, my confidence and motivation is a real low, any suggestions ????

Tbh I’m struggling with just continually running, like I have completed it but 5 minutes is a bigger step from 3, plus the actual mental side of it all is difficult
Are you hydrated enough every day (not just run days) ? It really does help.
If you have completed every run so far, the course has prepared you for the next one. You can do it. Slow and steady and trust in the programme.
If for whatever reason you can't complete your run, just repeat until you can, there is no reason to worry about repeating a run, lots of us have done it.
Stick around here and you will pick up lots of tips. Did you manage to read the FAQ post in the pinned post section...chock full of useful stuff
Yes I will admit I never drink water so that is the first change then, but in terms of speed, I feel I’m running at a snails pace, can just get disheartening
Hawkeye99 there’s a lot of us about! I’ve just started week 5 feeling very apprehensive but today’s run was actually ok! I’m also overweight with various things going on, just do your best. I run on grass, very very slowly, made my stride very small when I’m shattered and aimed ‘just to get to the next tree’. Oh and I don’t look ahead at the next week as I find it way too daunting! Give it a try - you’ve got nothing to lose. And you’ll feel worse if you don’t try at all. I’m cheering for you! 💪
