So..second R of week 8..total disaster..first time ever throughout programme where I've had to stop...think I'd done about 12 minutes...stopped..went and did something else..frlt guilty came back did another 15 minutes on treadmill..
I have changed a few things and maybe my delicate frame of mind can't take it..have started using earphones ..which has made me feel weirdly disconnected from my feet..and tonight I tried talking book instead of music....not helping
Definitely a mental block..did do the 28 mins first run..it was a struggle but did it..feeling sad ..

Try not to feel sad, just think of how far you have come since that first run! You have made amazing progress, so take a deep breath, a day or two to rest and recoup and carry on. Honestly you will be able to do this. I am sure you will get lots of great advice from others too, but be really proud that you are doing this xx
Hello, I've been liking for a while but but the bullet and joined this evening. This was me on Monday- although week 7 run 3. Had a fab run on Friday and had been really looking forward to it, but as soon as I started I felt awful and stopped around 13 minutes and walk/staggered the rest. Was all for chucking it in, then had a word with myself tonight and went out and did 30 minutes instead of 25 by mistake (app issues ;). I'm not saying this to show off, but I'm starting to realise how much mood has to do with it. I'm sure once we get to this stage it should be possible to finish, but maybe our minds start to doubt. Try and put it behind you, enjoy your rest day and see how you feel on Friday
Totally agree with all this. If a different routine of earphones or different music etc has been working for you - consider going back to what you know. When you feel like stopping and we all do - just slow down more - set yourself tiny goals - I tell myself one more minute - 100m more and just keep completing each small goal.
Try not to think of the whole distance at the start and always remember - if you can do it once - you can do it again!
Don’t worry it’s one run out of the future of your hundreds of runs to come! The next run will probably be absolutely brilliant! Go as slow as you want you will be back on track before you know it! Just think how of how far you have come! You are doing brilliantly! You are on week 8 😃
Oh dear, I feel your pain ~ but you know yourself it's your head messing with you 😩 Stick on those Banghra Brothers next time, ditch the talking book and see those gremlins off! Thanks to your suggestion BB helped to get me through my run today! 👊
