Too excited to wait till tonight so got up at 4am to do my graduation run. Never ever thought I would complete this! If I can anyone can, I remember the first day struggling to do 60 seconds and now 9 weeks later I wake up at 4am cos Iβm buzzing to go for a run. Iβm never giving this up. Iβm going to do my first parkrun on Saturday then consolidate for a few weeks ( 1 of them Iβm on holiday and looking at parkrun to do while Iβm there) and then try going to 10k.

Massive congratulations! HUGE well done you... Lots of consolidation runs now.. and enjoy your holiday too!
Try short runs, different routes, 30 minute routes and some lovely long, see where you get to, runs...they are the ones that build everything up ! Then move across to Bridge to 10K to see where you want to head next!
You might have to wait until later.. but..time to celebrate!!!
Ah that's lovely. Especially as I was up thanks to my sadly compromised canine running partner at that hour and feeling sorry for myself - it's a real lift to think of you out there triumphing at the same time.
Hooray! Itβs a super feeling graduating! And it rained today so it was lovely running in the rain! Helped with my pace too! 5k in 32.5 mins! Defiantly go on to a 10K, I canβt imagine not running now! Keep up the good work!
Congratulations on completing C25K and well done on a massive weight loss in 2 months thatβs some going.
Like you say the first 60sec is a killer park runs are fun and free if I was you I would do about 6 consolidation runs then itβs up to you I ran race for life 5k fun and a fantastic atmosphere I highly recommend doing one of these types of races and give it a bit until you have improved on you park run before you start 10K training as Iβm on my second week into it and Iβm loving it Iβm using 10K by zenlabs itβs free not much motivation but youβre a runner now and just have it in the background and listen to your music with Strava as well in the background it tells you youβre average speed miles ran time taken and the course you did you will need to change it to running in the settings it starts on week 9 to week 14.
I take it you have had a gait analysis done if you have all is good if not get yourself down to a proper running shop not sports direct (runners need are very good they will put you on a treadmill for 30sec or so and they will see how your feet are landing some people need support or neutral shoe I know they are expensive but cheaper than spending money on a physiotherapist and then getting rehab and then buying a proper pair runners need will get the best price online and price match and at the moment they have a sale online so do run northwest have a look. Just a bit of friendly advice hope itβs helped you.
And you must be so proud and happy itβs an awesome achievement completing C25K you must of been jumping with joy and a new part of you life enjoy your running itβs the best thing ever you donβt think when youβre running all you think of is donβt stop and the finish line ππππππππππππππ»ββοΈππ»ββοΈ and now time to celebrate π πππΊπΊ
