Tah - Dah. I’ve only gone and done it. 9 weeks ago I saw a relative was doing C25K. I downloaded the app and knowing how beneficial running can be I thought I might try it. From day one I was hooked. I never for 1 minute thought I would manage but sure enough I did and with such a brilliant program I got through week after week and today I saved the best till last. After Monday’s run was not great I had a change of strategy. I got up and had some porridge (hadn’t been eating prior to run). Took dog for her usual hour walk (usually do it after run). Alteration to my usual route. I ran my 30 minutes and I was a bit naughty because I kept going to do 5K. So thank you C25K, Sarah Millican, all the mentors especially oldfloss (always in my head, slow and steady) all my lovely fellow runners for all encouragement and support and tips. It’s been a brilliant journey and roll on Saturday for my first parkrun when I will wear my C25K graduate running top with immense pride.
