Just beautiful: a ridge road from a tiny mountain village called Bocado (Central Portugal)... Looking down over the road in the valley that I know as "the land that time forgot"...
Nearly two years ago Central Portgual was ravaged by wild fires which covered a huge area - in fact I could drive for 1 hour in each direction from my home before getting out of the 'damaged' area! So here we see some remaining dead trees, as well as some green returning to the rolling hills.
Todays run was slighly more undulating that I remember (when I've walked it before). Didn't do a fast time as I had to watch my footing (alot of Schist underfoot). 4km was enough today!
Lovely fresh cool air, even at 10:30am (about 22 degrees)...
Happy running all.
