Just wanted to share some of my view today

Just beautiful: a ridge road from a tiny mountain village called Bocado (Central Portugal)... Looking down over the road in the valley that I know as "the land that time forgot"...

Nearly two years ago Central Portgual was ravaged by wild fires which covered a huge area - in fact I could drive for 1 hour in each direction from my home before getting out of the 'damaged' area! So here we see some remaining dead trees, as well as some green returning to the rolling hills.

Todays run was slighly more undulating that I remember (when I've walked it before). Didn't do a fast time as I had to watch my footing (alot of Schist underfoot). 4km was enough today!

Lovely fresh cool air, even at 10:30am (about 22 degrees)...

Happy running all.

PB

That photograph shows a very beautiful place, that looks a good place for a trail run looking at that path going up the hill, is it somewhere in the UK?

Portugal, and that up-hill trail run would be for hardened crazy people only!!! Mine was mostly flat, but still a challenge!

When you see a trail it’s an open invitation to check it out 😃 Taking care of course. I hear that Portugal is having wildfires at the moment 🙁

I’ve only been to Portugal once. I’d love to go back there

Thanks for telling me where it is, I just wonder if it has been used as a 10K or HM trail run.

So pretty. That trail is calling my name 💕 It's nice to see the new life coming back after the wildfires.

lovely place. I hope you're not in the path of the wildfires, my friend tells me they are bad this year

Stunning! I think it would be many years before I could contemplate running up that hill! 😱
