Woohoo I've done it!!

This is my first post I started couch to 5k a while ago because I wanted to get back into running . I used to do it years ago before an ankle injury. My other attempts to restart had never worked as I always overdid too quickly and my ankle would flare up. So I started this and was being ever so patient as instructed. Had an injury in Week 7 urghhh (not my ankle!) which put me out of action for 4 weeks and had to restart at week 3, but finally today completed in the heat!!! Hard going but I've done it and so pleased I'm back to running again and my ankle is coping fine.

Thank you couch to 5k. I'm not the fastest managing 5k including warm up and cool down so will consolidate for a month or so and then gradually increase so I can complete my park run.

Although I haven't posted before I've always been encouraged by others and always nice not to feel alone.

Slow is good, do try Parkrun it is such a nice inclusive environment with whatever speed.

Well done, Peas73! Congratulations and if you can run for 30 mins in this heat, you can do anything!

Well done for being strong. And completing the 5k. I too will be starting the 5k in a couple of weeks. After back issues for the past year.

Very well done Peas. Like you, I’m using C2K to get back to running in a controlled way, it’s good to know others have succeeded. I wish you many more years of contented running.

Yes do stick with it it's such a great feeling to get to the end😁 and whilst frustrating at times when I wanted to push myself so pleased I did it sensibly and slowly. Best of luck
