Have been mostly sticking to the treadmill so as to maintain my speed better, but now have to run while on holiday in Cornwall this weekend! We will be staying by the beach, and I'm wondering whether to run around the park, or just run on the beach. Anyone have any experience with beach running? Shall i take my normal trainers? Help appreciated!

Run on the beach, lucky you! ๐โโ๏ธ ๐ must say Iโm envious
Definitely the beach but it might be a little harder than the park. Be prepared to slow down a bit if necessary.

Actually running on sand can be tricky so maybe check out the conditions. A promenade or definite path is ideal. Some people like firm hard sand (if they can find it - I usually canโt.) Enjoy your run, wherever it is! ๐

I ran on the (wet) sand on Week 4 when we were on holiday in St Ives. It definitely gives your calf muscles more of a workout! I enjoyed it though, nice to run by the sea.
