I know it depends on how fast you’ve run, distance etc but is there any way of gauging roughly how many calories each run would burn?

I run 5K in about 27 to 28 minutes normally and this burns approximately 450 calories. I went for a fast 5K Walk last night and did it in 44 mins. This burnt 400 calories. So even with running/walking 5K your looking at a burn of between 400-450 calories.

You can’t outrun a poor diet. It is hard to lose weight by just running alone, but I’ve learnt that it is 90% food related.

Thanks Damien. That gives me a good guide. My Fitbit said I’d burned off 1100, and I knew

that couldn’t be right (would be nice tho! Lol)

First few weeks of C25K will burn about 150-200 calories.

Will also depend on your weight. I am just under 8 stone and only burn approximately 250 calories on a 5K run - tracked by fitbit.
